Default Fuel regulator help

Does any have a picture of a pressure regulator from an '02?
I'm trying to understand what sort of fittings/connectors it accepts.
I have some drawings of it from the '02 manual, but they are not detailed enough.

Also, there is apparently a check ball in the hose between the outlet of the in tank fuel pump and the pressure regulator. Same question on that.

below is an image of the assembly. The regulator is in light blue, the check valve is in dark blue along the Red pressure line feeding the regulator. The grey item is the regulator bracket.

I'm hoping to use this assembly in a retrofit of an older vette with a LS1

Thanks,

The regulator is actually part of the fuel filter on 1999 and up...The check valve is what maintains the fuel rail pressure on start-up to prevent hard starting by fuel bleeding back to the left tank. This check valve is part of the fuel line, cant be purchased seperately :yesnod:

C-5 Tech,

Since I have the manual, from which this image was taken, I'm up on how it all works. In fact, I used to have a '78 Volvo with Mechanical fuel injection and it worked the same way as far as the fuel delivery goes. Except that the volvo was done a little better in that the fuel pressure regulator and check valve where one assembly and the filter was another. I would in fact use the Volvo assembly but it regulates to 70psi, which is much higher than the vette.

What I'm trying to understand is, can I take this assembly an adapt it to my retrofit. Can I use the hose with the integrated check ball, or is it the sort of hose that has fittings that just can't be adapted. Same for the regulator.
I have looked around and I can't find an aftermarket regulator that is inexpensive. And for some reason, I have not found any aftermarket check valves at all.

Thanks,

Bruce

BTW, I plan on combining the regulator and check valve with this fuel pump I found from MSD.

Is that like the fittings found on A/C systems, where the sealing is made via O-rings and there is a plastic cover to keep the two halves interlocked?
