HELP OIL PRESURE GAGE
took my car to thje dealer yesterday. it said low oil so they gave me a oil change. but the low oil did not go away on the dic. so the c5 tech said i probally have a bad sensor in the oil pan. so he replaced it 2 oil changes later it went away with changing the sensor. now the oil presure gage goes to 80 psi at wot. this is not right anyone had this happen before and thanks in advance. :confused: :mad

was your dic reading "low oil" or "low oil pressue", as the two should not be related, in general.
80psi is high for a stock engine, but not dangerous. If the oil fluctuates from 20-80, you are fine. Up to a point, high pressure is a good thing.

it said low oil not low oil presure. i have never noticed the presure gage go that high. i dont know if these are related problems or not. :confused:
