seems that under hard stopping, the bolt heads are hitting the rack and pinion. have taken the washers out, but still doing it. any one else had this problem and any cure? thanks, joe
You need to remove the hex head bolts and ONLY use the counter sunk bolts. Also, I would suggest switching to harder engine/diff mounts, like those from VBP.
You're entire drivetrain is moving forward under braking. I had the same trouble until I removed the redundant bolts. Don't forget the loctite on the bolts you use, and don't overtorque. Also, make sure the loctite has plenty of time to dry.
