My stealth boxes 1st bulletin
First of all, I wanna thank everyone that has supported me to mod my car by purchasing my boxes. I appriciated for all the great great feedbacks that you've given.
Recently, I just found the way to secure my boxes so it will sit tight in the rear center well without rattle. So far, I still haven't heart any rattle issue. Maybe, y'all are nice and try to fix them yourselves instead of giving me hard time and I really appriciated that.
I still haven't upgrade my website yet so it will not work if too many people viewing at the same time. I am using MSN photos and hope it will work.
If the pix don't show up, please email me and I will send them to y'all.
Here are all the steps:
1. This is how the box sits in the rear center well
2. There is a small gap between the box wall and well wall. It should be around 1/2" to 3/4". Go to Home Depot and get either 1/2" or 3/4" trim (maybe 1$/foot). Put a peice about 3" right below the stock latches and mark them.
3. Remove the latches and mount those 2 trims as where you just marked but about 1/16" higher so when you put the latches back on, it will hold the box real tight.
4. After mouting those 2 blocker trims, drop the box back in place, put the latches back on, and you are back in bussiness.
5. If you want everything looks stealth, paint the trim peices first (black).
6. For those with clip speaker posts, I just found out that they are not completely sealed because there are holes underneath of the red and black clips. After clipping your speaker wire, seal underneath of them with silicon. Sorry for this little issue since I did not know it in first place. The reason I wanted to use it because I don't wanna cut a big hole for a big speaker post.
Any question, please email me at mikec5vert@hotmail.com
Thanks and have a great day,
