Question about gears...
I wanting to go with 3.90 gears. Can you get just the gears and have them installed or do you have to buy the whole differential assembly with gears already installed. If you can just buy just the gears....where can you get them?

This question is asked often here (you can see for yourself if you do a search on gears). You can buy them and have a shop try to do them correctly but this is not a job for an inexperienced tech. GM puts out an 18-page procedure on just aligning the gears in the case. It's a very involved job and requires experience and precision.
My 4.10's were built by supporting vendor DynoTech Engineering and they are perfect and quiet. We also have other vendors that can do a competent job on these as well. Trust an experienced pro if you value your car and your money. :yesnod:
