Default Humidity Question

Is it possible that the high humidity weve been having here on the Island could lead to pinging (tip in knock) on acceleration?
I put Chevron Techron in the car at every oil change and I run Shell premium. Seems to happen alot more when the a/c is on.
The 2000 A4 has 25,000mi. on it with stock plugs and wires. I cleaned the wires on the MAF and didn't notice any difference. They weren't even dirty. Maybe I should just go ahead and order the NGK TR55 and a set of Magnecore's. Opinions appreciated. :seeya

What type of intake are you running? I'm wondering if you are "lean." Also, could part of the problem be carbon build-up?

I have the Blackwing. But , the problem was there before the new air cleaner.
Just for the heck of it, I already ordered the NGK TR55 and the MSD wires to put in. They should be here on Monday for me to install. Hope it works.
