I just installed mine a couple weeks ago. http://www.ls1howto.com is a great site. Don't forget to reinstall the cam retaining plate. I forgot to and didn't realize untill I finished putting everything back together  :mad :banghead: Had to tear everything apart again :banghead: :banghead:
I highly recommend you degree the cam. I put in the TR224 and the 4 degrees of advance was not ground into it. Unfortunately, I skipped the degree part and it cost me a lot of time having to pull it all apart again. I had a power loss up to 4k rpms and didn't gain until 4400.
I would also buy 2 new crank bolts; use one to install the pulley instead of using the old bolt. On mine, the old bolt was not up to the task. Also, be sure you install the pulley to spec. I stopped at 200ft/lbs as that was as far as I could get without the car wanting to jump off the jackstands. My pulley started working its way loose in 100 miles. I think the best way to properly install the pulley is to use the GM tool.
My pulley walked off as well, I would suggest having one person hold the brake as hard a possible, while two people pull down on a breaker bar to get it as tight as possible. This combined with threadlock is what I did the second time. I believe I fixed the problem.
This is the post of my results (if you are interested) before I installed the under-drive pulley which went on after the stock pulley worked it self loose. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=585101
Thanks for all the tips guys  I will be doing my cam swap in the next week or 2. Although its only a baby (216/220), I think it should suite my current mods well. BTW- How do you degree the cam? I must have missed the how-to on this...
