Clutch spring broke
I was driving yesterday when I heard it snap. I looked down and it looks like a pressure plate spring . I was wondering if anyone knows what the purpose of this is. The clutch feels fine without it, no slack and returns fine. Is it just to make the pedal return quicker?

I dunno what the purpose is exactly but mine broke several months ago. One of my friend's cars did the same thing about a year ago and so far neither of us has had a problem.
