Default 436ci update

As you know every problem that Wade could possibly have has happened on this project--he was waiting on a shipment of Kola cranks and received notice they had filed chapter 11- so he had to re-order through callies who does not always have 4.125 stroker cranks sitting on the shelf and this took a month to get the cranks, then on the way out the door the forklift operator dropped the motor and wade had to locate and resleave another block, then the shipping company he had been trying to use proved to be unreliable so he had to get a new shipper and re-do all the paper work required for customs, then it finially left the shop for the depot to change trucks south and the biggest blackout in history took place and screwed up all the paperwork and the motor was still sitting at the depot for 2 weeks without anyone contacting Wade to let him know, so as of this morning all things are in order and they are trying to fit it on a truck thursday morning so it would appear one way or the other it should reach us next week and the fun can begin--it has been a frustrating experience for me and I'm sure even more so for Wade but the end result is in sight, the way things are going as soon as I have it back and running everybody in the country will be offering new intake manifold and TB setups that we have been seeking for a year and back to the shop it will go but there is always something else as we all know, after the intakes are in place someone will probably suggest the new heads that are coming out in the fall after 4K on the ls6 heads and then there will be a revolutionary new set of 1 7/8" headers, but what the hell you can't take it with you. I am really enjoying this project and seeing just how much we can get out of a NA motor--

I've been down that road....my car took 10 months of R&D, but the result is spectacular. When you get everything sorted out you will have a something worth the wait. Keep us posted.

Bill,
I feel your pain and hope everything comes to a happy end. That motor should be a sick kick in the pants.

Those intangibles that are not customer responsibility can only be a PIA. Let us know when you finally receive it. Good luck with your buildup.

Thanks SEL--it should run a little smoother once its here-I have all the other goodies on the office floor so we should have it running in a couple of weeks after it gets here, I'll get some pic's of the block and the heads, BTW I can't remember what clutch you were running, I am leaning towards the mcleod dual

Bill

I have a second Cartek clutch and I'm having issues with shifts to 3rd and 5th gears now. Hear the Ram clutch is a good choice.
