I was pretty close this week in less than ideal conditions. I ran an 11.14@121.94 with a 1.53 60ft. Im not sure of the temp but it was in the 80s I think. The DA ranged from 3,000-3400 all day and the humidity was way up there as it rained later in the day. I read in the drag racing section that another member went back to the same track the next day when it was cooler and gain 3 tenths. I guess that would have been a potential 10.8 run in some slightly cooler air. Oh and here is the best or worse part, that would have been a real low 11 second run but I hit the rev limiter just a little in first cause i was staring at the 1.53 on the board:bb . Cartek built one hell of a car, I just hope I can drive it to its full potential. If somebody knows the exact weather conditions of last saturdays challenge please feel free to chime in.
Yea, i think you will definitely be in the tens once you get your car on the track in cooler weather. Nice run, your times just keep getting better and better.
Joe,Your persistence will pay off, practice makes perfect, especially with a 6-speed,soon Cartek will have four heads and cam C5's in the tens. :steering:
