Bench Racing Question HP vs TQ
Lets say you have 2 vehicles, basically the same.. let's say their both LS1 M6 Corvettes..
1 Corvette makes 650rwhp & 540rwtq while the other makes 550rwhp & 560rwtq. Is it possible that the lower horsepower car could win with all other variables being the same? Could gearing or launch make that much of a difference down a 1/4 strip? Also.. would it be possible for the lower HP but higher tq motor to beat it from a roll?
I realize there are many variances here.. but I'm just curious if there are any "set" rules to figure out the advantages and disadvantages of my car or someone else's..
Or maybe I just need someone to say that rwtq doesn't win the races.. it's all in the rwhp?
Of course, everything stated above is without traction issues.
