My stock fuel pump died on saturday. This was with my new 382 LS1 Stroker motor. I still havent got to drive the car yet.
Im getting the Racetronix fuel pump. I have some questions. Whos running one? Are they loud? Does the kit come with good directions? Is the the best way to go or am i better off going with a new stock pump.?
The Racrtronix pump to me is better than stock pump. Mike do a search I think there is a few right ups on the pump. It's going on four months and no problems for me.
My tuner just put the pump in for me but unfortunately I don't have the car back yet because of an unrelated problem so I couldnt tell you about the noise. I can tell you the kit didn't come with any instructions (from what I am told Racetronix will include them soon).
I installed my racetronix two weeks ago. About as easy as chagining the oil. Andy from A & A has email form of instructions which work great. 2- 3 hours max using basic tools. I think its louder on priming than stocker but absolutly silent after that. I think I'm getting 62psi at idle.
