Last night i picked up my car with the following mods.
382 LS1 Lunati Stroker Kit
Stage 2 heads w 2.02 1.60 valves
MTI X1 Cam
LS6 Intake
Katech Throttle Body
ASP underdrive Pulley
I added a SPEC Stage 3 clutch with Steel Flywheel. The car only has about 125 miles on this combo. The clutch if not properly slipped will shake the whole car. I basicly have to do a fairly aggresive launch to get no chatter.
Will this end once i get more miles on the clutch? How are others SPEC stg 3 clutches working?
I do have completely stock 99 Hydraulics slave master ect? Would upgrading to Z06 parts help much?
I have a spec 3 stage with a z06 slave. It would be in the best interest to upgrade to z06 components. It took about a 1000 miles to fully break in. No issues now and it holds great.
I have about 600 miles on my Spec III...its getting smoother....still needs a little more town driving. It was pretty rough the first few hundred miles. Now, most of the time I can't tell any difference from the stock clutch. It holds the 677/688 without slipping.
Mike you old dog..you were supposed to wait until I got mine..congrats on the combo  What kinda power is she making, if you don't mind me asking :D
I have about 7k miles on my SPEC III w/ Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Every now and then if I do alot of stop and go driving it will still chatter some. A steel flywheel may help you more. Good clutch. Held over 700hp with 4-5k clutch dumps w/ a CCW drag package.
