The owner of Corvette Connection emailed me today in responce to my "Local tuner post". I need LS1 edit done to my car after my heads/cam instal. The thing that makes me mad is in his email he said that there was a few people that did not support his company for some odd reason and they are a premier corvette tuner. This is after I asked him about a month ago to instal my set up and he told me that he would have no part in the instal because I was using 5.3 liter heads. He basically told me that my set up sucked. Sorry, just ranting. I am a little ticked. kaley
How many other folks in town need LS1 tuning? A good friend of mine who tunes Accel DFI and GM MEFI (marine) systems would buy LS1 Edit to tune cars if there was enough interest.
Unfortunately Corvette Connection has had a long list of people that have been very displeased with their work in the past. I believe that Rich is trying to over come this, but in this type of business if you screw people over it will come back to haunt you. Your best bet you be to try Dragon Race Engineering in Broomfield. Unfortunately Denver does not have any good tuners.
Would you be interested in tuning services? My buddy would have to have at least a few folks lined up before he ponys up the $5000 for ls1 edit.
He helped me tune my MEFI3 controlled 454 Camaro. We used a wide band. I'll give him a call today and see what he might want to do.
Also how much local interest is there for mod installation?
Run, Run,Run from Corvette Connection. They are slow, expensive and from viewing some dyno graphs at a local dyno shop in Denver not very good at getting a tune right. Dyno-Pro posts all of their pulls and those listing Corvettte Connection as the tuner have steep dropoffs all over the graph. Corvette Connection does not dyno tune they guess and it shows when a customer actually wants to see what kind of numbers the car is putting out. :U Try Kenny at Gloden West Performance, like the others he is slow but he utilizes LS1 edit and does dyno tune.
I wouldn't have been so upset if he didn't tell me that he wanted no part in my car in the first place. Why would a tuner say that to a possible customer? If he didn't think that the package was a good one the he should have suggested something that he thought would have been better. I have met Rich (the owner) a few times prior to the phone call and thought he was a nice guy. I ended up going w/ Dragon Race. I talked to a bunch of guys in our clucb and something like 11 of us are going down there. Best of all is the guy dropped the price down to $350 per car. I think that is reasonable and it sounds like they know what they are talking about. Kaley
which has a bit of suggestions/experience on other tuners in Denver - maybe we'll get some good info/recomendations out of this that can help somebody searching the archives in the future...
