First, jack up the car and make sure the swaybar brackets and end links are tight. Check the shocks mounting points as well.
Most likely you have spun a weight out of its original position or it was not balanced correctly in the first place. Having a weight move on the wheel is not uncommon.
Other possible culprit is a bad tire where the belts are not overlapping each other properly.
You need to take it back to whoever did the work, if you start messing with the car they'll try to blame you for the vibration.
More than likely it's a wheel out of balance, just because the weights are on the wheels doesn't mean that they're in the right place.
Sounds like a wheel weight to me... If a lazy tech cant get the wheel balanced he will just let it go... figuring you wont know the difference... I wont have my wheels balanced anywhere unless I can watch.. see the out of balance condition. See them add the weight and recheck the balance.. If I dont see 00 00 . I wont accept the balance... Some times rotating the tire 90 degrees on the rim will help with a severely unbalanced wheel.
Also in your case a recheck of the sways and shock mounts etc. I would demand to see the tires rebalanced and their actual condition of balance before they correct anything.. those tires should all see 00 00 on the balancer..
Glen, If you continue to have problems and can't resolve. Try Network Alignment...go to the one @ 67th Ave + Bethany Home Rd. I think the guys name is Brennan..he only works on the lift next to waiting area. Knows his s_it. Tell him how you drive your car and he can mod from heavy auto cross to total street. He does alot of the Corvette autocrossers alignments.
He will find the problem..
Good luck
John
