Question about Buying a 2001 Z06
Everyone:
If I was going to buy a used 2001 Z06 how can I tell if it is burning oil ? The previous owner might not know it, (or might not tell me :mad). The dealer might not know it, (or might not tell me :mad).
Would you be able to tell if you took it to a dealer and asked them to do compression tests on all 8 cylinders ? What results are normal ? What results are bad ?
Maybe put it on a dyno to see ?
Any suggestions ?

First I would never get an 01 Z06, get the 02 with 405 horse. As what kind of policy do they have on newly purchased cars (like a 30 day warranty and what not).

Depends on your budget.My 01 has been re-ringed and now uses no oil.It has 2 simple mods with LS1 Edit and runs with the best of them.I will be trading it in in a month or two for my 2004 Z06.
