How were the weather conditions last year compared to this year? Weather conditions can make a huge difference in your cars performance. If the weather conditions were very similar auto tap your car you might be running to rich or too lean. :cheers:
If not, I seem to recall you upgraded to 19's this year. That won't explain the 3rd gear sluggishness, but the grip, flex, and height difference of the tire will affect your 60' time.
Yo El, it could be the converter. I have been off all season too but my car has really not been the seem for more than 3 weeks with all the changes I have put through this poor thing this year.
Did you change your burnout style to try to conserve rubber? That may be it.
Nope, still smokin em up. Plenty of rubber on the quarter panels to prove it...
Like I said, the consistency is still there, but the 60' & ET are slower compared to all of last year.
I know SOTP & time slip wise, something is off.... :confused: :mad

none of that guys... I have plenty of slips, and my 60's are suffering.
I run drag radials, and have used 3 sets,
Everything is the same car/component wise, just not performance wise.
What happens inside a converter as it goes bad ? bent fins? what is the effect? Could the fluid in the converter be burnt or something?
I just don't know. But I do know something is not right..
I am waiting for someone to post "autotap it" or tuning.
I was hoping for some insight from someone who might have experience in this issue.
Oh well.. we're all guessing at this point.

I was going to recommend autotapping the car. If you don't have an autotap then do a computer relearn just prior to your next race event. Perhaps you car is running lean/rich..I am trying to borrow an autotap as I write this as I too need to check a few things myself. If you want to autotap when I do mine then let me know......
Haven't you had the PCM tuned since you were running the quicker 60's? Perhaps something that was changed in the tuning has adversely effected your 60s?

Nope... Only altered the Abuse mode settings..
Could it be the plugs?????? :confused:
Still using 4 yr old NGK TR55's, 13k miles, but alot of track runs.....
Will be changing them anyway, but still not sure if they might be the problem..
Vortex filter cleaned in March.... Less than 1000 miles since.
NOT overly oiled etc..... MAF wires were gently cleaned at the same time with cotton swabs dipped in alcohol....
