I went to the local drag strip in town to let my 98 coup run wide open without the fear of blue lights in the rear mirror. I had the oportunity to run against a new Rustang GT. Needless to say it was a confirmed Kill. All he seen was my fat-butt pulling away. He wouldn't stag against me the rest of the day. Scared!!!!!!!!
My coupe is total stock with 60K miles. The only thing I done to it was to install a Votec Rammer , since i was traveling in excess of 80 mph, I guess I was getting the ram air effect. MY best run was a 13.43 sec @ 105.36 Not bad for a beginner. Mastering the tree isn't as easy as it seems. My best reaction time was a .6890
I have an 02 Automatic...check out my signature. My first run bone stock in the 1/8 mile was and 8.55 @ 83MPH. Since the vararam and predator I have managed an 8.30 @ 86MPH in the 1/8 mile. I have no idea what it would do in a 1/4 mile since I haven't gotten out to one yet. :flag

I went for the first time about 2 months ago. Best 60' was 2.01 (tire spin). Best 1/4 was 14.085 at 99mph. (I had at least 3 runs over 100 but slower times.) This was at Bandimere in Morrison, Co at 6000 ft.
Sounds like you're on the right track.
Being an A4, I have got to get use to using the left foot for braking while I lock up the torque converter at 2000 rpm for a quick launch without powerbraking it at the line. Yes, being consistant at the tree does take a skill and good feet, eye, brain, drop the hammer and away she goes!!!!!.. I felt good finally killing the rustang and his loud go nowhere exhaust. All I can say is "NEXT" stock rustang to go down like the last.
They have gotta know there limitations, and the corvette will remind them them everytime!!!!
Nice going and that reaction times not bad. I practice on the light by counting on the second yellow. My best RT(.544) has been counting 1-2 at my track and then going.
