I'm thinking about installing the Random Tech hi flow catalytic converters.
Anyone have any experience with this product? Any changes in sound and any hp increases? Thanks!
Re: Random Tec cats..Anybody running them? (dmc1007)
I'm running them on my car but it is modded pretty extensively.
436ci forged stroker
TPIS Headers, Random Teck cats/x-pipe, and Corsa Touring
and a bunch of other stuff.
Very high quality pieces.................IMO however, unless your stock CATS are plugged I don't think you will gain much. I think they are only beneficial for strokers motors or an aggressive head/cam car.................and doing them by themself without headers and freer exhaust is a waste of money.
Re: Random Tec cats..Anybody running them? (Buckmaster)
I am fairly certain my cats are plugged. Additionally, I have TPIS headers/cam job/triflos so I figued I might as well get rid of the stock converters and try the random tech converters...

I recently had these installed as part of the StainlessWorks LT header and x-pipe setup and estimate that I gained another 5-7 rwhp vs stock cats.
Re: Random Tec cats..Anybody running them? (dmc1007)
I just installed TPIS FT Headers, Random Technologies Hi-Flow Cats & X-Pipe and the GHL Quad Bulls Eye system. I love the quality of all three manufactures pieces but haven’t had a chance to hit the strip yet. Just now getting off of this last war activation as of yesterday but hope to hit the tracks soon.
Good Luck!

At Xtreme we have found Hi Flow Cats and they all seem to be close in performance, are not real HP adders. What they do,do is to hold the higher modded HP/Tqe. #'s throughout the RPM band.
In other words if your peeking at 360 rrwhp these will keep the HP consistent from Idle all the way up to red line.
