Default MAS - Yes or No

On my 2000 coupe, I have a blackwing and LS6 intake. Will a power duck and MAS add much to the performance? I am looking at $650 and don't know if its worth it????????

I figured that and I assume MAS means mass air sensor. But would this be the mass air flow sensor or the air temp sensor?

Well all cars are different, my car picked up 2 mph through the stock ziptied airbox with fram filter through ported ends. I went from 108 to 110.52 MPH after swapping a set off ported ends in the staging lanes. My car likes them some don't. I wouldnt spend $650 though???

Thanks for your responses, I should be more specific - Here is what I am talking about. I am looking at purchasing a Vortex Power Duct and a Granatelli Mass Air Flow Sensor. I ran a 13.58 with the Blackwing and LS6 intake and Corsa pace car exhaust. The temperture was 92 degrees and I know I can do better when it gets cooler. The two items will cost about $650. The question is - IS IT WORTH IT????

With your set-up and w/o h/c, you probably will see little to no difference w/ the vortec duct. Also, you will probably get the same gain from a cheaper MAF unit than the Granitelli. You can get ported MAF ends everywhere. This is totally your decision and to be honest, I have a Carbon Fiber duct (mostly for looks).

IMO It would not be worth it, $650 can be spent elsewhere.

Rading the post I understood you were getting a 01+ intake manifold. If this is teh case its a screaming buy.
The Granatell's sell used fo 200.00 and a Mas is??? and a used B.Wing is 150.00 do the math. The intakes used is at least 400.00 used and they dont go bad.At Xtreme we try to talk people out of the Granatelli and for a small Co. we have 4-6 in stock in case its wanted badly, there good for 5-7 rrwhp which is nothing to sneeze at,and there built real nice billet.
Good Luck,Dave Smilovic,XTREME M.S.
