Updated seals for rear diff leaks
Here is the document I received...It is a service bulletinn review,not published yet,with out a TSB# issued to it yet (meaning hot off the press )
Service bulletin review
Service catergorie-Driveline/Axle seals to correct fluid leaks (w/diff) 14-leaks
Subj:Release of new rear axle seals to correct fluid leaks
Models:1997-2004 Corvettes
This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that new and improved rear seals have been released for service for the above listed vehicles
Use the new output shaft oil seal P/N 88996703 and the new differential side cover o-ring P/N 89047953 when correcting rear axle leaks

C-5 Tech, thanks for the heads-up.
Does the procedure require the use of anaerobic sealant as many of the techs have been using to date?

Thanks C5 TECH. I hope that I do not need them. If my fix works, I am home free. If not, I will be asking the dealer if he has the new seals before I go for the warranty work :D :D

Just over on the Corvette Action Forum and it was stated over there that the "updated seals" is an old SB and that no new seal procedure is due until next January when an "anerobic seal will be announced. Who knows the real truth? Anyone with a definitive answer?? :D :D
