How will big displacement affect MPG?
I'm assuming that a 427 LS1 won't use nearly the amount of gas that the old 402 in my Chevelle does, but how much of a loss in mileage from stock would one expect once the displacement is increased like that?

If you can afford to build a 427, surely you should be able to pay for the xtra gas consumption.

Same here with the single digit for awhile, the blower motor on normal around the town driving is avg 13mpg, if I could get to the gd aircleaner in the pos ATI kit to clean it I might do a little better, I hope the damn stroker gets here soon, I need to service the beast and I don't want to spend the time or money when I have been waiting on promises week after week for going on 7 1/2 months. I will also be interested in seeing the mpg with the stroker, as rich as I run the blower motor I don't think it will be that much worse if any.

Well, I'm kinda poor :lol: The plan is that I'll try to find a 97 with a bad engine for like $11-12k and then build my own engine for it. I'm confident it can be done for considerably less than what all the big tuners get for it. I'll definitely be interested in hearing how you guys make out with yours :cheers:
