LOW OIL LEVEL [HELP] please :-(
On Tuesday and everyday since, when I put the key in the ignition I get a low oil level warning and sometimes pops up when I am driving :( . So the first day it comes on, I drove it home for about 5 miles and checked the dip stick right after I got done driving it and shut it off - - - It was smack dab in the middle of the "operating range". Then about 5 hours later I check it again and the oil level is at the top of the "operating range" - - - that's weird it got higher than it was before  .
So, I've checked the dip stick 3 times and it was never lower than the exact middle of the "operating range".
Also, when I started the car this morning my DIC read 40 psi, it got higher when I drove it - - - and at idle when I was in trafic the lowest i saw was 33 psi.
My question is, is my sensor bad u think - - - what oil level triggers that warning.
Another thing, the first day the warning came on (6pm, after work) at lunch earlier that day I was playing with my DIC  , because I learned how to check the trouble codes while I was driving. Could me messing around with my trouble codes could have caused this  .
:cry Any insight guys  I don't want to fry my engine :(

Well, your oil level is obviously adequate since it never measures below half on the dipstick. That's where mine measures to with 6.5 qts. It could be your oil level sensing is on the fritz or you're getting a transient similar to what I've gotten after parking with the front on ramps.
Check your DIC for codes (car not moving this time) and see if there are any current and report back here. :yesnod:
Now the low oil level warning is not even coming up anymore :D yeay!
 have a great weekend guys
