Chasing Electrical Gremlins, Where are the Ground Points?
In recent months my '00 hardtop has experienced some electrical problems with the controls in the driver's side door. Occasionally all power would be lost to the door controls, and then random failures would cascade off of the DIC. When I pulled the codes (33 in all), they basically pointed to a loss of communications between various computer systems.
Last Friday the door controls failed totally. I still get the random cascade of failure annunciations, but much more frequently now. One new development is when pulling codes, the Left Door Control Module shows "No Com." So that computer is completely shut down.
I'm thinking I've got either a power or ground problem, but I've not had any success in finding a diagram of the physical locations for the grounds, which is the first place I'm going to look.
Anyone know where the ground points are on the C5?

Grounding points for the C5 are as follows
1- Engine bay just before the hinges for the hood are excellent grounds one on each side.
2- In the cabin Passanger side kick panels are thre bolts all are good grounds
3- Center console has one good ground near the shifter.
4- In the rear on the passanger side in front of the center storage area is another good grounding point.
A word of caution, the C5 uses Floating grounds and multiplexing, this can be very confusing. Some times you will get a ground and other times you will not.
(The above list are solid grounds and will always be good gounds)
Best of luck to you,
Tim
PS
Check the connections on the BCM, my connectors came loose and I got the same kind of erros as you.

That is where your problem is.Disconnect the 2 connectors (blue and black)and check the female terminals for opening up (orange or black wire in black connector)...A bad connection there causes loss of communication to the door control module and havoc in the other modules :yesnod:

BINGO!!!!!!
Got in there and found a wire where the insulation had pulled back for some reason. Put some eletrical tape on that, and voila! Everything's working again!
