Just got home from work. I stopped at the store on the way home then parked in the garage. About an hour later I go to hop in the car and all it will do is click. I tried the battery charger but the battery is fine. Any help appreciated.
Damn. How much are new starters? Also thanks alot for the quick responce Vetterdstr You always come through! Can I test the starter? And if so how? What should I do next if I want to avoid flatbedding the car to the dealers?
What is the charge on the battery reading? You would be suprised that if the battery is even "slightly" drained it will not start these "battery sucking" cars :D
I have had the exact same issue as you.....drove car, got out, went to start it very shortly later....and nothing!!!! It turned out to be the battery. Good luck! I'm on my 3rd battery. (First 2 were Delco and the 3rd is a Optima Red Top and it has been the best)
Definately make sure your battery is fully charged and try it again. I would even try a battery I knew was good before I went to the trouble of pulling the starter off.
I have a optima red top. Its about 2 years old. The battery has read around upper 12's for a while now. It started out at 14. After charging it today it was at 13.1. Still nothing. I will try charging it longer. I would be happy to find out it was just the battery. On a side note the red top I had in my camaro went after about 2 years. I dont think I will get another one.
Whats up buck man. You still have the silver beast?
