It also depends on the temperature. If you are storing one for any length of time, I would recommend getting a Battery Tender. Like women, its much better to keep them happy, than to wait until the power is down and then try to make them happy. :)

I have gone a long time without running the vette (ie 3 weeks) and the yellow top started the Vette up fine. I do have a floater charger for the winter storage. See pic
Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. I made a mistake and didn't state clearly my question, though. How long will a battery, not installed in a car, just placed in the garage, say on the floor, last with it's charge? I am asking this to calculate in case of a power outage and backup stuff to use on it for fish tanks. Thanks
The yellow top is perfect for that situation.
I believe they have a shelf life of one year without a charge. Still, I would recommend a Battery Tender for the longest life and always a full charge when you need it.
PS. do not store on floor, put a board under the battery

Those battery connections look cool. Can you tell me about them?

Sure! They are from a company called KnuKonceptz. Those guys are WAY cheaper than most and have hi-quality products. They accept up to 0-guage wire (which I'm using from them also).
