Top speed for 3.90 or 4.10????

Top speed for 3.90 or 4.10????
I'm thinking about a 3.90 or 4.10 gear as my next mod. I was just wondering what this will do to my top speed. I was able to reach 170mph pretty easily. I don't want to be topping out any less, this is what makes us different from the other cars on the road, vettes have a wicked top speed. What do you guys think? I have the 6spd 3.42 right now. :confused:

Lets say your car tops out at 170 in 5th gear with 3.42 rear gears.
You car will top out in 6th at 212 with 4.10 rear gears.
So what you need is another 100 HP to make 212 possible! Then you can max out in 6th gear, but 1st gear becomes rather useless.................

But basically, since you have two overdrive gears, high way cruising and top speed won't be an issue with 4.10s. Your other gears will feel a lot shorter though. Thats NOT always a bad thign though :-)
