i removed my cats earlier today. drove around for about 100 miles and have thrown no codes, and gotten no check engine light. will i get it later? is this normal? i've still got all of the o2 sensors plugged in too. 99 c5.
Re: removed cats - no codes or check engine light?? (tattooed)
Keep the rear O2 sensors plugged in and you'll probably be ok. I ended up disabling the codes with LS1Edit even though I never set them after a month of driving.

I recommend getting a set of O2 simulators.
i thought about it, but just about everybody charges $200 for a pair (tbyrne has them for $95/pair though!). all they do it tell the computer that you have cats that are installed. why not just use ls1edit to program out the error messages?

O2's are a WASTE of $$ if you have LS1 Edit.
My car never threw any codes the 1st week I was running free flowing, but then just to be safe, I deleted the codes via LS1 edit and all is well. No Problems at all.
There are about 6 or 7 codes that need to be deleted. I don't have them I just know there were about 6-7.
