PCMFORLESS....Has anyone else used them yet for PCM Programming??
I picked this up from the Scan & Tune forum but I thought I would drag it over here to get a better response. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=659970
IndyPace78 was talking about this guy so I went ahead and placed an order for a custom programmed PCM. $375 and thats with me keeping my original PCM or I can send my old one back and get $125 back. I talked to the guy who's name is Bryan Herter and he seems to be very knowledgable about the LS-1 and its programming. Two day max turnaround with 60 days worth of free programming and $50 after the 60 days. AND, no PCM lockup meaning you can still use your own LS-1Edit if you want. Maybe we have another Steve Cole here but hopefully without the empty promises and locked PCM. I'll report back when I get the PCM. BTW: he is fixing the nagging P1870 code I have had since swapping out the rear and converter as well as a possible extra 12 -15 RWHP. We will see. Has anyone else used this guy??
Again, excuse me for bringing this up here instead of the Scan & Tune forum but I seem to get alot more responses over here as I do there

I use him and very happy with the results. I had a gear and converter change and he did me a customer tune and it was great and worked great since. I actually just sent it back for another tune since a new gear change and because of the 60 day thing its FREE. Only $15 for the return shipping.
To show you this guy is a great business man. When I sent my PCM the first time he could not get my PCM to talk or reflash with a tech tool. After countless tries he simply replaced my PCM with a new one at NO CHARGE. I was really shocked. He is very responsive with email questions. Everytime I email him with a question he answers me in an hour or two.
I would recommend him with no regrets. This is no Steve Cole. Much More of a Business Man.

I hope I wasn't taken out of context. When I was comparing Bryan to Steve Cole I mean't his knowledge and expertise without the other BAD qualities of Steve :blueangel:
Re: PCMFORLESS....Has anyone else used them yet for PCM Programming?? (MikeyD)
I dont know much about Steve Cole, but from the things I have read its only been negative. So thats where my comment comes from. I've ony had the positive things with Bryan Herter.. :yesnod:

Checked out the site and it looks like a great deal to me!!
Great timing since I just became aware of the 'run-rich' problem in my '97 and I don't feel like putting a bunch of add-ons that I'll just dump later on (MAFT, etc.) when I really start hitting the mods (H/C, etc.)
Since LS1 Edit is so expensive, not to mention the laptop to go with it (although I'll end up getting it for AutoTap, soon) and since it looks like he's got plenty of experience, plus looks like the kind of enthusiast we all like (he says he's doing this to afford mods for his car  ; I'm down with that!) this looks like the best way to go, IMHO....at least for what I want.
Sent him an e-mail to see what he can do for me and my mods.....we'll see what the response is.....got my fingers crossed

Bryan stands behind his work. I got my lt1 tuned by him and my friend got his 99z tuned by him. We went to his house to get our tuning done because he is close. My friend had a problem which was thought to be his pcm..bryan didn't charge him for the new one. In the end, it was a broken airbox that was sucking closed that only showed up after tuning because of the more power Bryan found. We finally figured it was the airbox and the car ran strong. BTW..my friend is running an ASA cammed stock headed z...runs real strong with his tuning.
