Default engine change LS1 to LS6

I just finished changing my engine from a 53,000 mile LS1 to a new 2004 LS6. My car is 2000 vert MY with almost all the bolt ons and LG mortorsports long tube headers, pipes and cats. Some problems but not many. Will take the car to Ernie at Breathless for dyno and tuning tomorrow and will have HP results then. Any questions :auto:

How involved was the change? Did all the wiring plug in? Did you have to splice things? Did you use your LS1 fuel injection system?

Who did the engine swap, and how much did it cost for parts + labor?

The change was very simple. I bought a complete engine, less electronics, airbox, Air Cond, Power steering. Some sample prices are: as of two weeks ago. Pace Chev in Texas had the best price $6990 and change plus 200 shipping to florida. No wiring changes. No splices. Used the LS6 injectors that came with the engine. With the mods I had on the old engine, I was close to 410 hp (flywheel). The new engine with the same mods installed, I mean the parts taken off the old and put on the new. The difference is amazing.

The change was made by the local Chev dealer Bob Taylor Chev. Labor was 20 hours or 1300.00. Extra parts less than 30.00. My old engine had a hydra lock and the insurance co picked up most of the tab.
