I would add it to ANY fluid, even the overpriced Royal Purple.

We just changed over to Rp gear lube(75-140wt.) was told I did not need the additive.

You don't need the additive with RP. I used it in my C5 and I'm about to put it in my Viper :yesnod:
Overpriced :confused: It's less expensive then the GM crap and around the same price as Moble 1 after you purchase the additive.
