Just get some longer (1/2" x 6.5" long) grade 5 bolts and some locknuts and keep your bushings intact. The longer bolts will allow you to slam it as much as you want.
good idea for every inch i take out at the leaf spring will i get a inch of body drop or more..?
Actually, the adjustment is more sensitive than that. You are dealing with angles and a lever effect.
I seem to recall reading a forumula for it, but it's more like a 2:1 ratio (ie 1/2" bolt adjustment= 1" drop).
The stock bolt is 6" long, but only 5 3/8" is threaded. A 6.5" bolt will get you at least 2" drop if the nut is loosened all the way. I think on my car I have about 6 threads exposed above the nut, so I still could drop mine more if I wanted. People have used 7" long bolts too, but a 6.5" should suffice.
I pulled the bolts out in the front and got longer bolts for the rear. I used 1/2 x 6.5 grade 8 bolts and left 12 threads showing. It is even w/ the front.
I removed my front bolts and shaved 1/3(one ring) off the rear bushing for the ride height I was looking for.Found it :D car looks and handles great
thanks for the help guy's just one thing when you say removed front bolts ? did yous put anything back in there or they just out and thats it    :auto:
