New H/C and Mods-Help with Launch
I'm a new user but an old racer. Drive an IHRA
Top Dragster but know little about modded vettes. My 2003 is C5 A4 with 3800 Yank ST, 224/228 cam and heads CNC'd. Car ran 13.50s stock now has H/C, Vararaam, LT headers, x pipe, underdrive belts,3:42s, conveter, computer tune, and shift kit. Help-What rpm to launch at on ET streets? Flash the converter from idle (900 rpm) or take it up realizing that that injects inconsistency. Appreciate the help. Hoping for 11.70s on Sunday! :seeya

What tires are you running on . If they are your street tires you will spin like you are on ice. If you use drag radials or slicks I would launch around 1600-2200 .

Try 2000 and go from there................... :thumbs:
