HELP! Shocks imoperative? Maximum Speed 80mph??? Nooooooooo
Just had my car worked on and put in 4.10 gears, FLP system, spec stage III clutch, etc. Now I am getting a few codes that wont let me go over 80 mph, and when I looked them up it said Left rear shock soilinoid and right rear shock solinoid. I have the F45 suspension, any ideas??? I tried unhooking the battery and clearing the codes but they keep comming back.
Thanks
Martin

I just took my F45 system off so all of this is very fresh in my mind. That first suggestion to remove the rear wheels and verify that the guys who put the gear box in reconnected all of the shock and sensor plugs is a good one. Also, open the back hatch, open the left sunken storage compartment, and pull the velcro attached gray fabric trim piece off the front of that sunken compartment...that's the ESC (Electronic Suspension Control) module. Make sure that both pigtails are connected and snapped in tightly. There is a THICK conduit of wires sticking out into the left rear wheel well from that ESC pigtail that you might want to eyeball for damage, too.
Better yet, take this problem as the opportunity to take the whole system off and put on quality shocks. I've just completed that very mod on my '99 coupe with F45 and the difference is FANTASTIC. You'll be shocked to discover how much those F45 shocks weigh. Like Detroit street light poles. Losing the weight alone will be an advantage.
Edit - I just remembered that you should check the 2 RTD related fuses and 1 RTD relay switch in the underhood fuse box. If any of those go out, or if have been removed, you'll get that DIC message.
