I have a 99 C-5, Has anyone else noticed the LED which registers the A/C temp etc. dims frequently so that you cannot read it at all? Most of the time I cannot see anything but sometimes I can read the temp, but it is exremely dim. Could this be a fuse problem? Also, my air has not been very cold lately - but blowers and fans appear to be working just fine, Could I need a freon check? Thanks for ANY Suggestions that I might try.

Re: A/C Question / LED dim (S.Sally)
It may be the A/C digital unit going bad as this is pretty common. Mine gets very dim at times and then some times you can see it fine. I just got a a/c unit off of ebay. Hope this will solve the problem.
I agree. We just had the A/C head replaced under extended warranty. No hassle, they knew exactly what was wrong and had one or more units in stock for replacement. About two hours.
Try gmpartsdirect.com They usually have cheapest price but then shipping will add to it. Still good price if you want to install it yourself. Installing not that hard. Had one in 99 replaced by GM. Then had to get a new one for my 99 Buick Regal. Was told 98/99's are a problem.
