Default JMX does a LS1 vs LS6 cam dyno graph

From JMX:
http://www.ls1tech.com/threads/showf...5&o=14&fpart=1

A couple weeks ago I asked about putting an LS6 cam in an otherwise stock 99 LS1 A4 F-body, stock tuning, etc. Well, I found a 2002 LS6 cam and LS6 valvesprings used for $150, and put them in this past weekend. My GF wanted more topend power, but OEM reliability, and that is what she got. I'll probably bump up the shift points and rev limiter in a few months.

Anyway, the topend really shows what the LS6 cam can do.

BTW, as others have said, even in the A4 it idles exactly like stock. I doubt there's anybody on this board that'd know it had a cam from just standing behind it.

Imagine if you had let it rev higher.

I am buying the 02' cam for my 5.3L truck. Most gain 30rwhp-45rwhp depending on how high you let it rev.

I always wondered what it would do in a stockish F-body. Thanks :)

Nice swap and nice gains! I have heard that the light weight 2002 Z06 valves are needed on this swap also?

J-rod, is this dyno comparison still available? I couldn't seem to get to it. Thanks!

J-Rod, any chance you still have those numbers or dyno graph available?

Thanks

I will tell u everyone discouraged me from putting in a ls6 cam. I am pretty happy with the power my car makes with the 04 ls6 cam ls9 springs.
