Can't seem to free up the "left/right" adjustment on my right side (pass.) headlight. The long rod seems to be "frozen" and I'm afraid to really twist it in case I break it off-- anyone have any ideas-- I need to adjust the headlight up and to the left (drivers side)- It is really out of adjutment now so I have to do something-- I hate to go to the dealer for something that might have a simple fix. Any help is welcome. :banghead:
Re: Right side Headlight adjuster- "Frozen" (PVHolgado)
Just another crap design. Same here. Fortunately I took a close look to that thing before I tried to turn the long bolts and break the plastic.
Mine were stuck too. Took off the black plastic bezel of the headlight and put some WD40 on the plastic parts where the bolts go through. Then turning it a bit left, a bit right, again WD40, turning again securely till it gets free. Be careful when doing the first little turns.
I think these little plastic parts have to be oiled every 6 months to keep them working.
Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. Took it to the dealer and he said that I need to replace the the whole headlight assembly at a cost of $500. So I still have one misaligned headlight.

Make sure you use a female torx (surrounds the adjustor) not the male torx that inserts into the adjustor ....and lube it over night. The metal adjustor is very weak.
