Default Courtesy Lamps won't work

My courtesy lamps(floor & door) went out last week on my 00 C5 convertible. I stopped by my local Chevy parts dealer and purchased a micro relay fuse (part # 12088567), installed it and still no lights. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Are you testing them in the dark? They aren't supposed to come on if there is sufficient light.

If that's not the problem, perhaps the light sensor in the cabin is defective?

Isn't there a switch that allows the lights to come on and if you release the switch the lights won't come on. I can't remember if my Vette has this but my Silverado does.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have tested @ night , but I'm still in the dark. The funny thing is , the reading lights(rear view mirror) work when flipped on yet do nothing when the door opens. I did'nt know there is a light sensor in the cabin. Any idea where it's located?
Thanks again

I believe its a 10amp fuse in the passenger footwell that is out. It also controls the power to the OBDII conection under the steering wheel. Hope that helps.
