Has anyone felt an improvement at high speeds with spoilers? My front end feels a little light over 130. I think it could use more downforce on the front. Do those small winglets help? I haven't gone fast enough for the back end to get shakey.
I would like to feel as confident as a mercedes or porsche.
If you do not want to add anything to your car it will help a lot to relief the pressure under the stock hood. Remove some of the rubber sealing the hood closest to the window to let the air out.
Or you could ....
Get a hood like the DRM HeatExtractor hood:
and get rid of the heat and at the same time the pressurized air under the hood.
Next you have the small ACI front spoiler and winglets:
The ACI front spoiler works like a small splitter and should be complemented with a rear wing to get balance in the car.

Re: do spoilers help? (6krpm)
The hood i bought will take the lift out of the car. I removed the seal but still saw it lifting at 140. A smaller splitter is avaiable that is flush witht he nose and streetable. There is one that goes on with taped also.
Thanks for the tips. Our friend in Stockolm posted some good pics: John, do you have any links to the splitter you're referring to?
I liked Iceburg's spoiler setup (seen @ Carlisle) but I didn't get a chance to ask him about them. His front ones were unique.
Was at the NVCC meeting today, and a couple of guys mentioned that lowering the car a little helps, too. I'm ready to try that, but I can't budge those 10mm nuts up front.
If you end up getting a spoiler/wing. I think in order for it to help at all you will need to get it mounted on the frame. I think they look pretty cool. At least most of them. Greenwood sells one for the C5 that is set up to be mounted on the frame. thanks, Kaley
Have you lowered your car? If you have and didn't keep the slight front to rear rake, that could cause your car to float a little, as you lose some of the designed in downforce. My stock height coupe felt solid at 135 (fastest that I've reached.)
The thing that sucks so bad about spoilers and wings is that so many idiot kids are putting them on lame cars that now everyone associates them with "rice".
Seems like kind of a double standard because ALL of the Lemans cars including the C5-R Corvettes run huge wings and spoilers. I don't think anyone would consider a C5-R "rice".
Bottom line if you think it looks good or helps your performance, who cares what other people think.

Go with caravaggio looks great, works great and no "rice". Everyone that looks at my car love the spoiler  :D
