Default GHL Installation Question

I installed the GHL exhaust system with the 4" tips today on my 2001 coupe. Question: Are the tips supposed to stick straight out the back or are they supposed to slant slightly downward? I'm having a tough time aligning the tips. :banghead:

When I installed mine the tips did not line up. I then tried swapping the tips from one side to the other and everything lined up great. They look the same but they were different on mine. If you haven't all ready tried this I bet this will resolve your problem. :D

They should be parallel to the ground (when viewed from the side), IMO. If it's just a matter of angling slightly downward, I would think that simply rotating the tips where they join the muffler section would provide the necessary adjustment.

On mine, the right tip section was longer and had a very slight angle welded into it. The left tip section was shorter and straight. Once everything was aligned perfectly, I had the muffler shop spot weld each joint to keep things that way.

Gotta LOVE that GHL sound! :hurray:

Cheers!
