00 frc 16K mi i took my front bolts out about 2 weeks ago and havent drove the car much may be bout 5-8 hours total the past 2-3 days i notice a pop when i turn the wheel is this cause i took the bolts out ?
i'm with ya. I have something similar to that. I dont notice it all the time and its not real noticeable anyways, but sometimes more than others. I also am looking for answers. Somebody has to know.
Have you checked the clearance of your tires, brake lines, etc. Something may be touching, or hanging up, when you turn the wheels. Have you had an alignment done?
I've left side pops, etc. on a '01 with 17K (no lowering) that come and go--more come of late. Seems to be both front and back, and I've checked everything for tightness and apparent wear, etc. Almost sounds like a brake pad shifting sometimes but not limited to brake use situations.
I really, really am putting off going to the dealer! A friend just had to fight a battle to get a minor correction made on his new '04 there! No other one any better around the sticks where I live. Pitiful state of affairs.
I have had the same problem with my 2002 coupe for 2 years and 25,000 miles. It's not the calipers. I've had them taken off the car and checked along with using the correct torque.
I just had my endlinks replaced by the dealer aliong with an alignment. It seemed to do the trick. I don't even known what end links are, but they replaced the front ones. I think it they were the cause.
It's that pop sound when you trun the wheel going into a parking spot. Slow speeds only! Mine also happened when I would brake backwards?
Again, my problem was helped by replacing the endlinks. The dealer made that determination for me :leaving:
well im going later to look underneat and check some stuff out it only does when i turn the wheels from lock to lock and kinda pops at the end of each turn i might put my front bolts back in and see if that does anything and no i haveint had the car line'ed up yet thanks guys

Thanks for the suggestion... but, put on new aluminum end-links and it made no difference.
I guess when something falls off or I can't stand it any longer I'll drag it into the dealer. It's potentially their problem for another gazillion miles and 4.5 years.
Glad you found your noise and corrected it. :yesnod:
