Air Bridge Question

Ok guys I want the truth from fellow vette owners. Do these aftermarket airbridges really increase HP, and if so by how much? I don't want to hear that the flow better or any of that other marketing BS. I want some quantifiable, non vendor provided numbers. I am thinking about buying one, but at $169, for only 5hp, which realistically turns into 2.5 hp at the wheels, it seems like a bit of snake oil.

on a stock or semi-stock motor; I'd personally buy an airbridge for cosmetic reasons only.

i think there is someone on the forum that hs gone to home depot and made some for $5 or less

I wish i could make weekly 169$ payments and 5hp gains just appeared. Although i have the breathless air bridge and i did notice a difference on my 01z I read somewhere they made the 2002 up bridges larger so that tells me they found some restrictions. 02 up i say more cosmetic but i would do a filter mod they call it "zip tie mod" i have vararam so i dont know much about it. Oh, if your wondering vr1b from vararam ,after installing the bridge put in vararam and there was a very noticable increase in acceleration. :cheers:
