Delco Bose Speaker Problem on '01
Having a problem with the passenger side speakers, front and rear, on my 2001. They both sound very tinny, no base response at all. Anyone have a similar problem? It's under warranty but I'm curious to know if it's a common problem with Bose. How do the speaker grills come off? Easy job or not recommended. I'm new to the C5s. I'll check back on Sunday for any replies. Thanks

The 8" sub in the door is responsible for the bass for both the front and the rear speaker......it never turns off. It has a separate amp and the amp is located in the door/speaker assembly. Even after you warranty runs out you may wish to pick spares for when they go out. GM is silly for the replacement parts. You can get the entire door setup for 150 for the pair used.....GM is like 400+ each....they are proud of their parts. :mad

Thanks for info on the speakers. I'll be checking with the dealer who sold me the car. I have another, more urgent problem, the car won't start! I get the click, click sound and a "low voltage" warning from the DIC. I tried charging the battery overnight, same result. I tried a jumper pack and no good either. I'm pretty sure the battery has shorted out. I've owned the car since Thursday! Very annoying!
