More Upgrades but No 1/4 mi decrease. What happened?
Stock I ran 13.1. Upgraded my plugs, TB bypass, and K&N filter and ran 13.0. Installed Vararam VR1-B, Bassani Xpipe, and Borla Stingers and have only been able to run 13.1, most of the time 13.2s and 13.3s. Nights at the track were all the same, not humid. 60' was 2.0-2.1. Any thoughts on why I'm slower? Car runs awesome though!

I would check all your connections in the area of the MAF. I would also do the idle relearn, thought most people on here say it's not required. Make sure all your band clamps are tight and the MAF is installed so the air flows thru it in the right direction. You should definately have knocked off at least 2 tenths with your new mods. SCOTT

If your 60fts were the same and the temp was about the same then there's a problem somewhere. I think you should have picked up 3tenths or better.

I cant remember for certain, but stock my trap speed was around 104-106 mph. After the mods, it was around 105-107 mph. I have a 2001 A4 2.73. One thing that I have to mention though is that I could hear my tires slipping for about a sec just before the 1-2 shift. I run EMTs at regular tire pressure and drag in "3", not "D". But, it does feel faster at speed (70 mph and up) and my 0-60 mph is faster by about .4, according to my G-tech. I was wondering about having it tuned, but wanted to ask around first. Hope this helps. Thanks everybody :grouphug:

To find out what you are or are not gaining when you modify your car you should really keep track of your time slips. This way you will have accurate data to compare with. I have all of my time slips for the last 17 years that I have been drag racing and it really helps when setting up your car.
With the lack of info your question, "What happened?", can not accurately be answered, there could only be uneducated guesses.
Sorry, I would have liked to help you figure this out!
Good luck! I am sure you will figure it out eventually. :seeya

My car and times are similar. 13.2 at 107mph latest with 2.083 60ft. I Figure my point of attack will be my 60ft times to lower my ETs as opposed to attempting to add horsepower. Figure if I can get even a tenth here it works out to about .15 in ET. Anything I can get over a tenth is gravy. The 2.0-2.1 difference in your 60 ft times of even that tenth, everything else being equal could explain some of it. If its more than a tenth then......
Not to jack your thread, but can't say why you got slower. I do agree with the above poster in that you really have to analyze the time slips to determine where you are deficient and if your 60s got worse, by even what looks like a small amount, while that may not be the whole picture, it would explain a lot.

First of all, 13.1 with your gears and no higher stall converter is really pretty good. Second, are you sure the temperatures were the same at the track? Cooler weather makes a difference. I've seen mine vary 2/10ths and 2 mph with identical 60' times just from the weather.
Other than that, I'd say what others have said. Check your a/f ratio.
