Has GM made a fix yet for the limp clutch yet? I had my clutch, flywheel, presure plate, throw out bearing, hydrolic line all replaced with 2002 Z06 parts when my car hit 12K miles because of this same problem.
My car is now at 37K miles and the same problem is happening again :banghead:
I am building a project car with a Z06 motor and 6 speed and the GM parts guy noticed that the part number and manufacturer for the hydrolic cylinder has changed and thought this may be a result of this clutch problem. The new part number is GM #12570343
Any advice would be helpful, since I dont want to have to deal with this ever 20k miles
Re: Driven hard, clutch falls on its flat!! (VRMMMM)
Any reason why you won't try an aftermarket clutch? My spec III carbon w/ aluminum flywheel has not even hinted of sticking to the floor. I have had it for a year now.

When I get the money for my gears and clutch I will be going w/ a SPEC. I have heard nothing but good things about SPEC clutches. I had a Z06 clutch in my old hardtop and wanted something better. Kaley

Centerforce is terrible. The key to your solution is NOT using stock clutches (Z06 is almost as bad as stock). Drive the car hard - buy a properly suited clutch. Stock clutches are designed to be as smooth/light/easy to drive as possible, NOT for maximum holding power. Keep that in mind, as with just about any aftermarket clutch, you will be giving up some (or a lot) drivability.

There is a tuner here in the Springs that really loves Center Force. I told him everyone here on the Forum is using the Star, Cartek, or McCleod. He said Center Force is the way to go.
Can I get some info on why the center force is a POS. I would love to give him the data.
