Default Which gears to choose??????

I have a cartek h/c nitrous package on my Z06. For now I use a 100 shot of nitrous eventually ill be using a 150-200 shot with the new fuel system.. So you guys get an idea of what the car does at the track here is the time's:

On nitrous 100 shot (best mph)
r/t:.807
60':2.144
330:5.936
1/8:7.846
mph:103.73
1000:9.934
1/4:11.672
mph:130.03
I kept the 60' down because I didn't want to get thrown out of the track (no roll bar). Usually I do 1.61-1.64 60ft's off the nitrous.

Next here is the best et NO nitrous
r/t:.877
60':1.646
330:4.726
1/8:7.303
mph:96.57
1000:9.536
1/4:11.429
mph118.43

My best 1/8th mile off the nitrous was 97.53.

All of these passes were done with STOCK 3.42'S. So with that in mind which gears do I go with so I don't shift into 5th gear. Since my transmission is on its way out I'm going to switch to an M6..... So with the M6 trans which gears?????

THANKS
Andy

You could ask Joe (KH24) he's running 410s with his Cartek package and he doesn't have to shift to 5th, that was my concern when I bought 390s as the blower revs the damn car so fast--I would say 410s are the most successful with your setup, Brent also runs 410s with no 5th shift---

It is going to depend on what size tire you are running. With my 4.10s and 26" ET streets, I hit the limiter (set at 6950) at about 130mph. With the 28" hoosiers you can go to 141 with 4.10s at 6950 rpm or if you use 26" ET streets and 3.90s you are good for up to 138.

28"s with 4.10s are good to 141 if your limiter is set at 6950. 28"s and 3.90s are good to 149mph.

I would do the 4.10s and just switch the tires from 26s to 28s between NA and nitrous runs. Plus since you say your going to a m6 your gonna need more gear to help you off the line.

It fits no problem with the stock ride hight. If you are lowered just make sure to give the tire about a 1.5" gap in the wheel well. Your good for 141mph with the 4.10s and a 28" and I doubt you will get that high. Bowerboy traps about 141 with his vette drs 422 and a 200 shot. Also look at my times and my hp in my sig to see what I'm at NA. New times are coming soon as I just sent out my broken tranny to be fixed. Those times below are with a bad 4th gear.

Hoosier quick time pros are 28" tall 16s. Here is the part number from jegs 522-17602QTP...they are $186 a piece.

130mph is solid mid 10s with a 1.5-1.6 60ft. Get that 60ft down into the 1.3s with the hoosiers and spraying off the line if you can, Im not sure but I think the hoosiers hook better than the et streets. My best is a 1.43 at atco with the et streets.
