you can use the factory wires for your 1100x's. What you do id press the wires from the piaa'a into the factory pig tail. Use a decent amount of electical tape to seal the connection. The factory harness is tight enough that the 1100x's wires wont come out.
Maybe someone can shed some light :D on my install...I got everything connected and working *except*, I have to have the PIAA switch connected and clicked on, for my fogs to work....Everything else works, turning on the parking lights turns on the fogs, high beams turn fogs off, fog button inside works as it should....How can I eliminate the piaa fog light switch, because right now it is kinda wrapped up nicely in my engine compartment :D
You can use the existing wiring. That's what I did and haven't had any problems in over 2 years. Just cut off the old stock foglight connectors and sodered them to the Piaas. Works like a charm

Alright, is this one of those issues like intake or exhaust preference, where every opinion has an equal and opposite counter-opinion? Stock wiring or new harness? Don't make me post a poll on something so minor... :D

Alright, I'll bite, are the wires on the PIAA's or the stock harness color coded or what? How do I know which way to hook up the old plugs to the new lights? I'm asking this before tearing into the car, so I may be asking a question that will become obvious when I get in there. Thanks.
Its been awhile since I installed them. I did make sure I hooked up the positive wire to the positive on the PIAAs. I think they were color coded but don't remember what the colors where or which one was positive. You can trace back the positive wires on the PIAA wiring harness and see which one is positive. Hook up a voltmeter to see which one of the stock wiring is positive. Hope that helps.
