Default Oil Sensor Replacement

How difficult is this to do? I'm only a novice mechanic with basic toolset. I've read the "Tech Tips" article on replacing this sensor, but it is very general. For example, I don't know what's involved in removing the coil covers, air bridge and injector wires.

If you're talking about the oil pressure sensor I had one replaced under warranty on my 01Z. I think it's under the intake manifold.

If you are talking about the EOL (Engine Oil Level) sensor, it is screwed into the oil pan. All you would need to do is drain the oil and unscrew the sensor. Torque it back it to about 20N-m.

I think it's the EOP Engine Oil Pressure sensor.

The reason I think I need to replace this, is because my oil pressure gauge on my cluster is stuck at "80" (max).

vectorz:
If you cant handle removal of the coil covers, injector wires, or air bridge... you wont be able to do this job... you need to have some above average mechanical ability... this repair involves the removal of the intake mainfold.. exposing the intake chambers of the heads... etc... I would suggest that you take it to a mechanic... or the dealer... hopefully there is a mechanic there...
it's about a 250 dollar job... this job may be to much for a novice... no disrespect intended... also dont let the sensor go too long, unrepaired...

Evil-Twin, thanks for the advice. No offense taken, what you said is the reason I asked. Wanted to make sure I know what I'm getting into. What happens if you go a long time without replacing it?
