Default AC-right side cold, left side hot?

This problem crops up once in a while on my 99. I can take it to the shop and they plug in computer and reset it. Some time ago, I read on the forum there may be a way to unconfuse this thing by removing the fuse and doing something? That woould be a whole lot more convenient! Anyone know?
Thank you

You can pull all the AC fuses, I believe there is 3. @ in the passenger side floor board and one under the hood......

Either way, remove the fuses and this will reset your temperature mixing doors, etc, when you replace the fuses.

Thanks for the reply ZO. I pulled the three fuses and reinserted them but, no luck. Are you supposed to start the car, turn on the ignition, wait some period of time, dance around the car, say the magic word?

Some people just pull the fuses or disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes.

However with the symptoms you descibe it seems that you have a temperature mixture door going out.....

It may be on its final leg, and may just need replacing!

Left temp door actuator is out of range or over closing.

The gear teeth in the actuator need to be indexed over by 2 teeth. :yesnod:
Trust me on this bro.... :yesnod:

Re setting will not work, new control head will not work, new actuator will not work.

Have your tech open up the actuater, index by 2 teeth, (not sure if its clockwise or counter clockwise).

I don't seem to get any fresh air thru my vents. Think this is the same problem. AC & heat both seem fine, but with just the vent, no air comes thur. any suggestions?

Thanks IndyPace78. The programming, apparently, has always been a temporary fix. I'm taking your advice. It's off to the dentist to get its little toofers fixed!

The ac on fresh air with nothing coming out would have to relate to a vacuum issue. Check the vacuum lines below the glove compartment (under the dash) that connect to the AC blower motor.

Whats the matter bro, don't believe me?

Look, needless to say, "been there, done that"....

Check or ask for those "unpublished" service bulletins when you call GM Tech Support.

They know about it.....
