Default bad 60 ft. times?

I went to the track last night and got my best et of 12.13. I was expecting to dip into the high 11's but I can't seem to get the great 60 ft. times I keep reading about on other posts. My best 60 ft. was 1.68 with 1.7 being the most common. I am launching at 5K. Anything higher just spins the Mickey Thompsons like crazy at 12 psi. It seems as though I am getting pretty good et and mph (114+) by comparison to other set ups. Please see my mods in my sig and give your feedback. Thanks in advance. :seeya

Your trap speed seem really good to me. How do you get down the track so fast with headers, new manifold, exhaust and intake? Are you powershifting or just speed shifting it? I want to know how I can do this because right now I'm not putting down as much power as you but I am trapping at 108 and I have just an intake and exhaust. Does the manifold and headers make that much of a difference or does my trap speed suck? I also have stock tires.

What's your RWHP?? The 60' times seem good, unless you're making a lot more then 370 RWHP. If so, your MPH & ET's should be better. See my sig for my set up & #'s. Not that I'm a great know it all.....just trying to help w/ an opinion you understand.

My RWHP is 346. I do not powershift or speed shift. I am shifting at around 5800 rpm according to the stock tach because I do not trust it to be exact. I have felt the car bounce off of the rev limiter when the tach is reading 6000. I noticed a big improvement from the headers and intake manifold. Each one was installed at seperate times and I would say they were equal in gains. I want a high 1.5 60ft. time. I guess I am being very unrealistic with the set-up I currently have. It seems as though the tires would not handle a harder hit. :banghead:

If you don't want to powershift, you must al least speed shift to go lower.
